Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer has just signed on to play God in the upcoming Lionsgate film THE SHACK. Mackenzie Allen Philips’ youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his ‘Great Sadness,’ Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack’s world forever.

Jessica Wilson says:

The Shack is actually a Christian fictional novel loosely based off of a
true story. It’s about a man who loses his daughter and how he suffers
through the loss of his daughter. He suffers between his religious beliefs
, his face in his anger, towards God, and his anger towards himself. If you
read the book you will see why they chose Octavia Spencer as the lead to
play God. my suggestion is you read the book before you go see the film so
you won’t be lost in translation watching the film or deem this as some
religious film or even a comedy.

MatthewLedZepfan says:

The entire story was pretty much spoiled by the movie studio

Michael M says:

This segment was SO DUMB!!! It would have taken 30 seconds to look it up
and figure out that this title is a Faith based Bestselling novel. We are
so used to doing all these “Speculations” with Superhero Blockbusters that
AMC Movie News Crew have become a PARODY of themselves/ourselves!!

KlingonCaptain says:

The Shack (book) was retarded. If anything can save the movie, Octavia
Spencer can.

Hunter Helms says:

This is really stupid

Ian Baker says:

Just so you guys know, The Shack is actually a Christian Fiction novel.

Manx36 says:

I wouldn’t pay matinee prices to see it. Could not care in the slightest. I
dig movies about magic that feed the viewer the belief that magic exists in
the story. This is religious bullshit and that doesn’t interest me.

SubParGamer says:

Morgan Freeman as God or I’m not sold.

itsdastuff says:

magic negress..
well that’s a twist..

Nick DiCola says:

Read the book first
